Sohail is the Founder & CEO of Destiny (D/XYZ), an investment management company that provides public access to the private tech markets. Prior to founding Destiny, Sohail was the Founder and CEO of Forge (NYSE:FRGE), a global private securities marketplace building trading, custody, and data infrastructure to meet the needs of high-growth unicorn companies, employees, and investors.

Today, Forge transacts billions in pre-IPO stock annually, has over $14B in assets under custody, and has raised over $250M in financing from institutions, including Temasek, Deutsche Börse, BNP Paribas, Wells Fargo, and Munich Re. In September 2021, we announced that Forge will be going public in a $2B deal with Motive Capital Corp, becoming the first dedicated trading platform for private shares to become a public company.

Prior to starting Forge in 2014, Sohail was among the youngest founders to go through Y Combinator as an eighteen-year-old. Over the years, Sohail has advised and invested in over 150 startups, including as a seed investor in over a dozen unicorns such as Rappi, Rippling, Notion, Retool, Astranis, Superhuman, and Mercury, among others.

He previously managed mobile product at Zynga, joined mobile advertising firm Chartboost as its second engineering hire, and has held roles at Google and the MIT Media Lab. Sohail was awarded TCU's Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2010, and was later named a Thiel Fellow by the Thiel Foundation. He previously attended Carnegie Mellon University where he studied Electrical & Computer Engineering before dropping out.
